The Lanyard Colonies are a
tight cluster of systems settled in 995 by Solomani citizens.
The Colonies have enjoyed Solomani support due to its good agricultural
and aquacultural exports. The
worlds of the polity are so named for the first four governors of each main
world.
The
Solomani Confederation left the worlds pretty much to themselves until 1008,
when they started to take more interest in the cluster as a forward point in the
Reavers' Deep. This heavy interest peaked in
1096 and dropped gradually since then to the current date where the
Confederation has only a token presence in the Colonies.
